Centuries later, in 1977, Laura and Andre Mentzelopoulos purchased the property and spent a large sum of money to upgrade the vineyards. Nonetheless, the Chateau Margaux 1900 is perhaps the finest vintage, with the 1978 vintage coming a close second.
