Why do Small Businesses Fail
Why do Small Businesses Fail? Why small businesses fail to make money online. Do not fall into the same traps!
Why do most people fail in online business? Powerful words from Gary Vurnum: ‘The single, biggest reason why most people fail in their online businesses is their attitude. Show me an individual who has the knowledge, but hasn’t got the right attitude, and I’ll show you a loser. Show me an individual who has very little knowledge, but a positive, can-do attitude, and I’ll show you a winner. Be negative and you will attract negative people and negative things into your life. Be positive and there will be nothing to stop you!’
Why Small Businesses Fail: Belief
As Nightingale said, ‘You become what you think about’. You are as powerful as you believe yourself to be. If you believe yourself to be a cut below the top internet millionaires, if you believe that you will never be as good as them, that is what you will become.
Why Small Businesses Fail: Lack of Focus
NO EMAIL, NO SURFING! Focus is the single most important obstacle for many people. NEVER yield to the single biggest time-crutch: email and casual surfing. You can’t resist checking your traffic stats for the day, your Adsense earnings, responding to that email, clicking of the link in the e-zine. For most people, the early morning hours are your most productive hours. Yet, I used to spend most of that time doing exactly what I am now warning against! When you finally get down to work say at 11 a.m, you would have already wasted several hours doing nothing that adds to your final output!
Keep asking yourself: what do I plan to accomplish this next hour? At the end of the hours, take a short break and ask yourself again: have I accomplished what I set out to accomplish this past hour? What do I plan to accomplish the next hour?
As Gary Vurnum notes, his productivity increased tremendously when he resolved to leave checking his email until lunchtime.
Why Small Businesses Fail: Never, ever just read a book
Never, ever just read a book. You must USE IT! Make notes all over the book and list out the exact action steps that you will take to make use of the information from the book. As Vurnum notes, most people ‘buy a book, buy an e-book, read articles, listen to audios. Then they put them away, never to be used again.’
In Vurnum’s words, ‘If you do that with every book that you read or tape that you hear, I guarantee that within six months you will have left your peers to the dust. I know that it can be a difficult thing to do, but take it from me – I believe that this exercise alone has helped me get to where I am today.’
Why do Small Businesses Fail
Why do small businesses fail? As Arthur Schopenhauer once noted, ‘Just as the largest library, badly arranged, is not so useful as a very moderate one that is well arranged, so the greatest amount of knowledge, if not elaborated by our own thoughts, is worth much less than a far smaller volume that has been abundantly and repeatedly thought over. ‘
